Saterday 27 August saw the launching of the new inland cruise vessel for disabled and chronically ill of the National Association 'De Zonnebloem'. The new cruise vessel will replace an older vessel of the same name and type which made her 730th and last voyage - a river Rhine cruise to Germany - in November 2005. After completion of her last voyage the vessel has been successfully deployed for 21 continuing years and sailed more than 250,000 km. Since her first voyage to Germany back in 1985 the vessel has carried more than 92,000 people, 45,720 volunteers and 46,720 disabled/chronically ill passengers.
