摘要

The purpose of the study was to determine the level of importance and satisfaction of students about the teaching strategies that professor use under an Accelerated Adult Studies Program and, in turn, examine whether they influence the decision to remain Program. The research design was descriptive correlational. The instrument used was designed by the researcher. To approach these areas of investigative interest, the questionnaire was tabulated and analyzed by 159 adult students active in an Adult Program and enrolled in four high school academic programs at a private university in Puerto Rico. The findings of this research reflected that students studying in a professional adult program who participated in the study adjudicated a high importance on the teaching strategies used by teachers when considering their academic program. The students understood that the strategic activities of communication, socialization and practices of the cognitive contents of the courses that they take are fundamental for their learning.
