With the delivery of 'Octopussy' in 1988, Heesen Yachts established a distinctive reputation as manufacturer of the world's fastest super yachts. When the 38 meters long aluminium semi-displacement yacht reached 52.3 knots during sea trials, it set a world speed record for super yachts. It is powered by two water jets. This notable reputation of speed is only part of the truth. Fact is that Heesen Yachts produce full custom and semi custom ocean going yachts, in both steel and aluminium hulls.
