The offshore industry in the Netherlands is doing well. As energy demand is rising again, the year 2011 marks a turning point in the oil and gas industry with increased investments in the entire value chain. The Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference 2011 in Amsterdam, taking place on 11 and 12 October, clearly reflects the confidence that governs the industry today: in four years time, the number of participants has quadrupled and because of the explosive growth, the event has been moved from Den Helder to Amsterdam and increased by and additional day.
