Waertsilae, a marine solution and service provider, has received a major order to supply propulsion solutions for six new offshore pipe laying vessels to serve the Brazilian offshore market. Three of the vessels are ordered by Subsea 7 and the other three are built for Seabras Sapura. The scope of supply further includes six 8-cylinder Waertsilae 32 engines, two transverse thrusters, two retractable thrusters and three underwater de-mountable thrusters. The vessels with a length of 125.97 metres and a breadth of 29.94 metres are expected to be delivered during the first half of 2015 and the second half of 2016. "These are very important orders that underscore Waertsilae's outstanding reputation for serving the offshore sector with solutions that meet the most demanding expectations.
