Mississippi To Getshipbuilding Academy

Jackson County, Miss., will get a new Shipbuilding and Metal Trades Academy at the Pascagoula Campus of MGCC (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College), thanks to some federal funding. At a Gulf State Shipbuilding Consortium Conference, Mississippi Governor Haley Barber said that the $20 million requested for the project would come from the federal government's Katrina Recovery Fund via the Mississippi Development Authority.
