S3 MILLION ENDOWMENT TO SUNY MARITIME

State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime College, Throggs Neck, New York, will receive the largest gift in the College's 136-year history in the form of a $3 million endowment from classification society ABS.rnSUNY Maritime College is one of only six state maritime colleges and academies in the United States. The funds will be dispersed over the next five years and will be used to establish two named Academic Chairs and also name the largest lecture hall on the campus, located in the Marvin Tode Science and Engineering Hall.
