LM2500 gas turbine for F125 frigate

Ge is to supply MTU, a GE Marine System Supplier, with a LM2500 gas turbine to power the German Navy's F125 frigate. The Baden-Wurttemberg class frigate will use a COm-bined Diesel eLectric And Gas turbine (CODLAG) system featuring one LM2500 gas turbine and four MTU 20V 4000 M53B diesel engines and generators. The generators will produce a total of 12 060kW for the ship's on-board power supply system, and/or provide diesel-electric propulsionrnpower for cruising speeds of up to 20kts.
