Quality control of bunkers

At its latest meeting in October INTERTANKO's Council empowered the Association to continue campaigning for effective mandatory quality control of bunkers prior to delivery, as there is currently no mandatory system to control compliance with statutory requirements. The Council endorsed the Association's stance that there should be control of specific criteria defining bunkers. These criteria have an impact on safety, environmental protection and crew health.
