Ballast water chaos

According to the Interna-tional Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the IMO Sub-Committee on Bulk Liquids and Gases (BLG) has agreed changes to draft ballast water sampling and analysis guidelines that will be used by Port State Con-trol, which could potentially be very damaging to shipowners if adopted by IMO, contrary to what had previously been agreed by the Marine Environ-ment Protection Committee.
