Mermaid's cruise return

Rolls-Royce must be crossing its fingers and toes in the hope that the first installation of its redesigned Mermaid podded propulsion system runs smoothly. The two 35t pods installed on Hapag-Lloyd Cruises' new 42,000gt luxury cruiseship, Europa 2, performed perfectly on sea trials but the real test was due to begin in May on its maiden voyage from Hamburg to Lisbon.
