The IMarEST has launched a new proposition in line with its ethos to "inspire, support, and develop the future generation of marine professionals". It now offers complimentary student membership (SIMarEST) to those in a marine-related discipline. This includes cadets, undergraduates, postgraduates and apprentices. This offer will be reviewed on 30 September 2015. All students applying before this date will receive the complimentary IMarEST student membership for the duration of their studies. "We recognise the important role that we, and our membership, can play in a student's journey from completion of formal academic learning through to an early career and beyond," said IMarEST CEO David Loosley.
