John Kitt died August 26.rnHe retired as a research principal at Wrigley in 2006. He worked for Kraft, Nabisco, Standard Brands, Knechtel Laboratories and Geo. Bassett & Co., mainly in new product development.rnAfter becoming an active member of the AACT in 1971, Kitt became progressively more involved in that association, presenting papersrn(on topics as varied as hard candy, panning, compound coatings and granola bars), serving as president and getting involved in the New York section and Chicago chapters of AACT. He was honored with the Stroud Jordan Award from AACT in 1988.
