The 2013 Sweets & Snacks Expo increased its size this year with more than 600 exhibitors and many products being introduced to more than 15,000 industry professionals. Flavors ranging from spicy jalapeno brownie crunch to popcorn with sea salt and caramel to dessert-flavored gums were seen across the show floor. An increase was seen in confections using specific honeys (Manuka and Himalayan), dried or baked fruits, energy-enhanced candies and mints, and retro products.
