METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CONSUMABLE PRODUCT. A method for producing a consumable product, in particular a chocolate product, from at least two shell shapes, which are connected to one another, at least in part, along their shell peripheries. Wherein a liquid consumable substance is introduced into a mould and then at least one die is plunged into the consumable substance and, by virtue of the consumable substance at least partially solidifying in the mould, a shell shape is imparted to said consumable substance. A second die is introduced into the shell shape and, by virtue of said die, a peripheral region of the shell shape is compressed in the upward direction.
