The Effects of the Asian Crisis on German FDI in Southeast Asias

This paper sets out to enhance the understanding of the crisis' effects on foreign direct investment (FDI) by deploying theory of FDI. Hypotheses developed by the authors will be investigated empirically by means of a questionnaire survey conducted in spring 1999 among German companies with activities in Southeast Asia.
