For the benefit of our overseas readers, "And Finally..." was for many years the title of the end segment of a regular evening news programme in the UK. It was where light-hearted items got a mention, to take the edge off the doom and gloom announced in the preceding 28 minutes or so!!! Whether it becomes a regular in LI or not depends on the availability of material, but it feels right to sign off our first issue with an item which we hope will generate a smile.
