TITAN LNG - BUILDING TRUST WAS CRUCIAL IN FIRST BARGE-TO-BARGE FUEL TRANSFER

Earlier this summer, Amsterdam-based Titan LNG carried out what it calls "the first debunkering" of an LNG-powered inland waterway barge at the port of Moerdijk, south of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The 2013-built, Shell-chartered Greenstream is the first fully LNG-powered barge deployed in northwest Europe. When the vessel needed to empty its LNG-storage tanks to return to a shipyard, Titan decided to transfer the gas to sister barge Green Rhine.
