In front of these venues runs the new Darling Harbour Boulevard with a length of 450m. The brief for the boulevard illumination called for a multi-functional and smart lighting system, but at the same time a minimalistic design without clutter. Starting from the top of the City Elements pole, two asymmetrical light fittings take care of the general boulevard illumination and located directly underneath are two 38UJ RGBUJ spot lights for decorative purposes, fill of the light fittings ("pole elements") are DMX controlled. An off-site DMX controller allows setting light scenes including dynamic colour changing and dimming. The desired P7 lighting category was achieved together with a very good uniformity along the boulevard. Some poles have additional WIFI, Power Points and CCTV camera integration. All poles have two 100W integrated PA speakers.
