In 1941, six artisan leatherworkers began making belts and wallets out of a small loft on 34th Street in New York City. The family-run business became so well-known for its high-quality products that it paved way for the growth of Coach, an iconic multi-billion dollar accessories company, which, over the years, added much more than belts and wallets to its repertoire-most notably handbags, which debuted in 1962. But even as Coach continuously expanded its offerings, which now range from hats to dog leashes, the company's humble yet high-quality beginnings have always remained at the core of the brand's identity.
