The first four Edinburgh trams are to be run-in on London Tramlink early in 2010 to ensure that they are fully ready to run when Scotland's capital city is ready to accept them.rnThe first fully fitted-out tram was completed on schedule at the end of September a thousand miles (1600km) away at CAF's factory in Spain, with another six in various stages of construction alongside orders for Seville, Houston, and Zaragoza. Deliveries of the 27 Edinburgh trams will accelerate soon because most of the Irun works will be turned over to producing them, and there is also talk of proving runs on Siemens' special circuit at Wildenrath in Germany and on the Valenciennes tramway in northern France.
