Bombardier to supply a further 300 L-Train cars

BOMBARDIER is to supply an additional 300 5000-Series rapid transit cars to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) in a new order valued at USD331m announced in late July. The order brings the value of Bombardier's contract with the CTA, first announced in 2006 and now totalling 706 cars, to almost USDlbn. The new cars are being built at Bombardier's production facility in Platts- burgh, New York.
