On 17 October Chinese rolling stock builder CNR Dalian an nounced a ten-year agreement with AnsaldoBreda to manu facture the Sirio low-floor tram under licence. The partners say that up to 1200 low-floor trams could be required in China over the next decade and it hopes to win orders for 200 of these. The first ten cars would be built at Pistoia in Italy, with sub sequent production taking place at CNR Dalian's facility in the city of Dalian on China's eastern coastline. AnsaldoBreda hopes to net EUR200m from the deal.
