A new audiobook publisher is on the scene: Dreamscape, which launched its inaugural titles in October, expects to release over 150 titles in 2011, among them Marianne Leone's Knowing Jesse, Helen Thorpe's Just Like Us: The True Story of Four Mexican Girls Coming of Age in America, and Joydeep Roy-Bhat-tacharya's The Storyteller of Marrakesh. The Ohio-based company produces unabridged recordings of contemporary fiction, nonfiction, and YA titles across multiple formats: as library-edition CDs, on Playaway?, and as MP3 digital downloads. Publisher partners include Hachette Audio and S. & S. Audio. Dreamscape titles are all read by either professional narrators or the authors themselves and are distributed through partners including Midwest Tape. More at www.dreamscapeab.com.
