Marcus (geography, Univ. of Oregon), a team of editors, and more than 100 contributors celebrate the world's first national park. Material ranges from broad overviews to specific details. The 524 maps are presented in five sections: "Geographic Setting" (with maps such as "Yellowstone in the World"), "Human Geography" ("Income"), "Physical Geography" ("Drainage Basins"), "Wildlife" ("Bison Movement"), and "Reference Maps" ("National Park Reference Maps: Electric Peak"). The atlas also includes 50 color illustrations and more than 260 line illustrations.
