摘要

Patrons want to read books that are of interest to them. Sometimes they hear about them through conventional channels-reviews, publisher emails, or author newsletters. They also read blogs and social media, camp out on Amazon's website, and go to fan conventions. The gates to book news have been thrown wide open, and readers have access to a wealth of information and titles. They, in turn, request these titles from their libraries, and most don't care a bit about the publishing pedigree of their new favorite books.
