THE CHALLENGE The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library is located in a university town of more than 70,000 people, with a service population of approximately 50,000. The library's foundation was recently bequeathed the building next door and is planning to fundraise before remodeling. The current library facility encompasses more than 55,000 square feet. The system would like to expand the library to meet demand and activity levels, which have outgrown current space, and has a vision to "complete the block."
