AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERING EDUCATION (ASEE): ENGINEERING LIBRARY DIVISION (ELD) ANNUAL MEETING, 2003

Nashville, Tennessee was the venue for the 2003 meeting of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). ASEE is divided into many divisions that promote instruction and academic programs for engineering and technology education. The theme this year, "Staying in Tune with Engineering Education," was general and welcomed many kinds of programs and events. Nearly 5,000 engineering educators attended and the growing international outreach of the ASEE was certainly recognized with registrants from Europe, South and Central America and Asia. The Division with which I affiliate is the Engineering Librarians Division (ELD) and this year attracted what many considered a record attendance with nearly 150 librarians from Europe, Canada and the USA. ELD has a very full track of programs and several important business or organizational meetings that are useful for announcements, networking and sharing experiences.
