Development and evaluation of android-based library stocktaking application using NFC Technology: a case study in Bina Nusantara University

摘要

Android-based stocktaking application with NFC technology developed and implemented by the library can run on any NFC-supporting Android device, hence, omitting dependency on vendor(s). Results of our evaluation show that the use of the application resulted in 43 per cent efficiency of the overall stocktaking process. This shows that using mobile application saves 1 min per book effort on each process.
