Tanners in the Santa Croce region are able to minimise the impact on the environment with the help of imaginative schemes set up by their tanners' association. Associaxione Conciatori, the Santa Croce Tanners Association, was founded in 1976 as a non profit making organisation with the aim of carrying out initiatives, either directly or indirectly, from which theirmembers can benefit.
