An eminent reference in the leather sector, the Madrid-based luxury house is currently experiencing a boom in popularity under the guidance of the talented Jonathan Anderson. With its highly desirable it-bags (namely the Puzzle and the Gate), the Artistic Director has dramatically increased sales. More dynamic than ever, the company is drawing from the very heart of its DNA of excellence in savoir-faire to celebrate the art, design, culture and craftsmanship of today, as showcased by the Loewe Foundation during Milan Design Week last spring, where the exhibition of Loewe baskets focused attention on hand-weaving techniques applied to leather. Eleven international artisans, working traditionally with bamboo, straw or wicker, produced a series of exclusive items during the show, which were then reinterpreted to create a collection of bags, accessories and objects for the home, sold in a selection of Loewe boutiques.
