The Peruvian minister of transport and communications, Enrique Cornejo, has said that the government will increasingly focus on the development and expansion of broadband networks in the country. In this context, the ministry has established a panel that would undertake the development of the NPBD (National Plan for Broadband Development) in Peru.rnThe committee has 120 days for formulating its plan of action for the future by gauging the existing broadband penetration in the country, assessing the kind of technology currently being used, and understanding the challenges to further expansion of the services.
