Telefonica del Peru launches new broadband service in Cuzco Telefonica del Peru has unveiled new broadband services in the Cuzco region. The Spain-based telecom operator has teamed up with Colombia-based infrastructure provider Internexa to launch an optical fiber network spanning over 400km to link Cuzco with Areq-uipa. The company is aiming to deploy another 1,800km of fiber cable in the next year under its countrywide expansion plan wherein 2.8 million Peruvians will be able to access high-speed Internet services.
