Bermudian mobile operators Cellone and Digicel have been awarded spectrum in the 700MHz and 850MHz bands for the launch of 4G services, reports local website Bernews. The country's regulatory authority granted CellOne licenses in the 700MHz band, with Digicel receiving blocks in the 700MHz and 850MHz bands. According to the license conditions, CellOne is required to reach 75 percent LTE service coverage within six months and 99.9 percent coverage of the island within a year. Digicel has been told to reach 50 percent coverage within nine months and 99.9% within 18 months.
