Technological, social and generational change have altered the requirements for successful engineering design. The impending pressures of global climate change only add to the complexity. VM practitioners need a new framework in which to evaluate and improve design performance. The Bermuda Quadrangle expands our solution space and incorporates a more complete understanding of the purpose and consequences of our engineering endeavors. If VM is to match the changing paradigm of how we think, the six-phase plan needs to be less discrete and flow from one step to the next and stay in a Collaboration ~vMEME as we spiral dynamically through the Bermuda Quadrangle.
