The reserve price set by Peru for each of the three blocks of spectrum in the 700 MHz band due to be auctioned later this year is above current market levels, according to a report from wireless industry trade association 5G Americas. The country's private investment promotion agency Prolnversion announced in February that the minimum price of each 15 + 15 MHz block will be US$248.7 million, a price that only some of Peru's established operators can afford, preventing the entry of new players, said the report.
