Studio jewelers who try running a shop of their own while making jewelry on site often find it's difficult to do both effectively - without backup, at least. One way to make a go of it: get your spouse on board, especially if your spouse happens to be business-savvy. That's what goldsmith Gary Shtey-man did. Gary is the jeweler behind Persona Jewelry, opened in Boston's wealthy Beacon Hill neighborhood in 2014. His wife, Margarita Druker, manages the business end. While they carry some work by other artisan jewelers, the bulk of their inventory is Gary's work.
