ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE FOR INTEGRAL BRIDGE DESIGN

The NZ Transport Agency funded report, researched by Opus International Consultants, is intended to support the guidance in the Transport Agency's Bridge manual. It incorporates parametric studies and worked examples to provide New Zealand bridge designers with the information they need, and highlight the issues they should consider, in designing integral bridges. While the report is not intended as a step-by-step guide, it does summarise current best practice with respect to the design and construction of integral and semi-integral bridges in New Zealand, and provides additional research-based information that will help 'ensure excellent performance' of integral bridges in the future.
