Final reminder - an exciting and innovative 14th World Lake Conference is on the horizon

This is the last issue of the Journal to be distributed prior to the 14th World Lake Conference, which will be held during October 31-November 4, 2011, in Austin, Texas, USA. This series of international conferences facilitated by the International Lake Environment Committee (ILEC), brings together participants from international, national and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, water industry professionals, private sector, media, and other water stakeholders from around the world. It provides an interactive forum for participants to discuss and exchange knowledge and experiences on a wide range of scientific and management issues related to lakes and reservoirs, their basins, and the sustainable use of their resources. With previous conferences convened in Argentina, China, Denmark, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya and the USA, the international flavor of this conference is obvious.
