摘要

As well as atomic manipulations in inorganic materials by use of STM, there is great expectation for molecular manipulations in organic materials. However, the manipulation of indi- vidual molecules has not been successful. It is because that the molecular interactions in organic materials are stronger than those between molecules and substrates and even uniform. There fore, the application of perturbations for manipulations leads to large destructions of monolayers over wide areas; i.e. the localization of manipulations is not well controlled.
