摘要

The fact that a shot-peening is one of available surface treatments to improve the load-carrying capacity of high-hardness gears (carburized gears) has been well known. However, it is rare to apply a shot-peening to medium-hardness gears. The authors in this paper investigate influences of the conventional shot-peening with shot diameter of φ800μm and the fine particle shot-peenings with shot diameter less than φ50μm on the surface integrity of medium-hardness gear materials.
