The Czech Republic is the country of beer with the highest consumption rate about 143 litres per capita and year (2015). If we say „beer", we mean lager beer and namely pilsen lager beer. Until today this tape of beer is still leading type of beer in the Czech Republic. Brewing is not only raw materials and technology, but it is also education and research. In the Czech Republic there is Research Institute of Brewing and Malting and University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, Department of Biotechnology.
