Turkish textile exports surge 10.1%

Turkish exports of textile and raw materials during the first four months of 20l4 rose by 10.1% year-on-year to hit $3bn. This is the highest rate of growth since 2011, according to the General Secretariat of ITKIB, when exports increased by 21.9%. Since then gains have not been as healthy - 1.2% (2012) and 7% (2013). On a month by month basis, the ITKIB statistics show Turkish textile exports rose by 12.8% in January, 10.4% in February and 5.2% in March, before bouncing back in April with growth of 12.9%.
