Primark commits $9m to Rana Plaza victims

Primark is to pay $9m in long term payments to 580 workers (or their dependents) who died or were injured as a result of the Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh in April 2013. These employees worked for Primark supplier New Wave Bottoms, which occupied the second floor of the eight storey building. Payments are being made directly by Primark in full and in cash.
