The effect of the brazing process parameters, such as the temperature and time, upon the course of the diffusion processes that take place in the transition layers of alumina ceramic-FeNi42 alloy joints with differently prepared FeNi42 surface was examined. The joints were bonded by active brazing with the use of titanium nitride. The process was Carried out at temperatures of 1123 and 1173K in a nitrogen atmosphere with about 30ppm of Oxygen. The FeNi42 alloy surface was precovered with a nickel, copper or copper+nickel layer.
