Open Licensing for Cultural Heritage

Editors Hamilton and Saunderson helm this monograph with the help of seven case study authors, all based in the United Kingdom (UK) or Denmark. Their stated goal is to "provide you with the insight, knowledge, and confidence necessary to implement an open licensing approach within a gallery, library, archives, or museum" (pp. 1-2) -also known collectively as GLAMs. Given that I am an American-based reader and that our respective regions have very different licensing and copyright laws, this review will primarily consider the merits of this volume for an audience outside of the UK and Europe.
