Sareela James has kindly agreed to The Journal printing the drafts for the woven fabrics (right) which appeared on the front cover of Journal 219, September 2006. These were the designs which she wove from the three criteria that Sareela was dealt from the Black Jack Cards: Man-made yarn - she used Tencel. Floats- Sareela has produced these using a modified plain weave threading for the upper sample and a Huck threading for the lower one. Checks - she used the same two colours in both warp and weft.
