Weave! 2014

What a great way to spend a couple of November weekends, being taught how to weave by an excellent tutor, Anna Crutchley, ably assisted by the talented and inspiring Suzanne Townsend and Chris Tucker. The course was designed for beginners and improvers, and there were several participants from neighbouring guilds. I learnt a lot and know that there is still so much more to learn and explore in my weaving. Our days were well balanced with informal talks and demonstrations covering everything from selecting the yarn and winding the warp to finishing. I was amazed at the difference steam pressing made to my wool weaves. Somehow they now look like fabric.
