I have been making and selling scarves for a number of years, weaving them on an eight-shaft table loom. In 2014 I was fortunate to be selected by the Crafts Council to take part in their Hothouse development programme, which encouraged me to ask difficult questions about what I make and how I work. As a result of this challenge I resolved to create more ambitious handwoven work and I invested in a new 16-shaft floor loom with a mechanical dobby.
