FEATURES OF SORPTION OF HEAVY METAL IONS BY ALGAE CHLORELLA PYRENOIDOSA FROM AQUEOUS MEDIA

摘要

It was demonstrated that cells of algae Chlorella pyrenoidosa can effectively sorb ions of heavy metals from aqueous media. The sorption process depended on pH and physiological state of the cells and operated primarily by the ion exchange mechanism.
